Sounds gross, doesn’t it?
No worries, there’s no combining of both.
What’s in this box though?

Keep reading and find out!

Just a quick post on dishes I’ve made in August.

Fish balls and curry, with rice. Makes me feel like cooking some up right now, heh.
Check it out, more dishes and other pictures inside!

I’ve found some time in my busy summer semester to post food from my vacation to Japan, in May.
There’s a lot of food I ate, and now miss, but it’s some good reminiscing.
Here’s a sample, but check out the rest inside!

Sorry, no pictures for this one, but it’s what I’ve had for the past two nights.
Yesterday’s dinner: Chicken quesadillas.
Not to bad, using some frozen, precooked chicken, heating it up in the oven, then chopping it up and adding it to the insides of a quesadilla. Hey, what can you ask for when you’re a college student not in the mood to do some extensive cooking on a Sunday night? I thought it was good, and hey, my roommate said it smelled good…so what else can I ask for? It was a decent dinner. And if anyone needs to know, it was Purdue brand Bourbon Chicken chunks that I used =P
Tonight’s dinner? Duck from a local Asian Market.
Purchased perhaps 10 days ago, so lets rewind. Like on the storefronts of Chinese restaurants who display their meats for passerby, there are ducks, pork, squid, and other meats hung on hooks, already roasted. Buying a whole duck, I watch the guys behind the counter chopping it up into sized pieces with their cleavers. Opening up the roast duck, it revealed to me all the grease and fat that laid under the skin. I then slowly regretted buying it at that point.
Eating that last half of the duck, I tried to take out as much grease and fat as I could by baking it all in the oven. All the baking in the world (well, without charring or destroying the duck) could not take out that grease. Sure, it was yummy, but if you’re on a diet…do NOT come near some roast duck, lol. Unless it’s been de-skinned, then you should be okay for the most-part. I’m currently taking some tums, and saying it’ll be a long while until I ever buy duck again.
Oh, I bought Anthony Bourdain’s “A Cook’s Tour.” I love his show, and hope to love his books as well.

It was posted a long time ago on my regular blog, but hey, why not start of with this dish on my first food post for my food blog?

Welcome, to Random Ryouri! It is all about food I see, make, buy, and of course…eat!
I figured I would share it with you all, just to see what’s on my plate, or what passes by my eyes.
From my kitchen, to the store, to…around the world (Or whereever I go, lol), you’ll see what I see, cook, and eat! Welcome, and いらっしゃい!
